Hours:

● Wednesdays - 4:30 pm to 10:00 pm
● Potential Birthday Party and special event work on weekends, travel to summer camps and other events, and full-time summer work.

Your Qualifications:

● At least two (2) years of experience coaching gymnastics, personal training, parkour, ninja, OCR (obstacle course racing), rock climbing, or similar.
● Bachelor’s Degree. Current students with a relevant background will also be considered.
● Outgoing and friendly demeanor – must be able to engage students and interact with a diverse population of kids and adults.
● The ability to teach! Must relate concepts in a way that is easy to understand and present ideas in a variety of ways.
● Able to control large groups effectively and have command over an audience.
● Patience and the ability to understand the perspective of others.
● Clear and professional communication.
● Passion for fitness (yes – this is required)!
● Employment contingent on passing a successful background check.
● Permanent work authorization for the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

● WFPF, NASM, ISSA, ACSM, or other professional sports certification.
● Building or rigging knowledge.
● First aid, CPR, or other medical certification.

What You’ll Do:

● Set up and run Ninja Obstacle Courses with students.
● Provide instruction to help students become physically and mentally stronger.
● Monitor and correct any potentially unsafe situations.
● Stay up to date with Ninja Warrior news and be prepared to provide updates to students and/or talk about current events in the ninja world.
● Monitor the success of each student and suggest training practices and techniques that will enable the student to advance their movements.
● Fix or decommission malfunctioning obstacles and/or equipment and immediately bring it to the attention of a Manager on site and the Ninja Manager.
● Act as a positive, responsible role model both in and out of the gym.
● Mentor Assistant Ninja Coaches.

Climbing Wall Instructor

Job Description

  • Provide belay instruction, staff belays, technique instruction, and belay checks
  • Enthusiastically belay and serve events; provide the necessary orientation
  • Front desk: answer phone, answer customer questions, enter data, paperwork, ring people up, monitor check-in
  • Perform retail sales
  • Assist in inspecting and updating the climbing facility and equipment – report all issues to managers
  • Monitor facility at all times by keeping a constant watch of everyone in the gym in order to enforce safety techniques, policies, and rules and facilitate accident prevention.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings sessions
  • Return all equipment to its proper home immediately after use
  • Make sure every customer entering the climbing area has a signed waiver that they have read and understand
  • Provide the necessary orientations and fill out all necessary paperwork when giving orientations and lessons
  • Cleaning and maintenance of facility including, but not limited to, climbing floor, upstairs floor, bathrooms, exercise machines, tables, cubbies, desk area, telephone booth, climbing holds
  • Notify management of all emergencies, complaints, incidents, and discipline problems
  • Greet customers in a courteous, timely, and professional manner
  • Uphold the highest level of professionalism and provide the highest level of customer service
  • Promote positive public relations through personal contact with the public – Create excitement!
  • Act as a positive, responsible role model both in and out of the gym
  • Be on time and follow the assigned work schedule
  • Wear the proper work attire while presenting a professional and hygienically clean appearance

Requirements

  • Be 16 years old or older
  • Weekend availability (Friday night, Saturday Sunday) in addition to some weekday availability
    • Must be able to work at least two of the three weekend days listed above
  • Outgoing with a desire to work with people of all ages and abilities
  • Ability to communicate information effectively
  • Ability to be patient in all circumstances
  • Attention to detail
  • Excited about climbing
